A bit off track of what has been said so far, but I remembered that when the russian ukraine war started that russia bombed hospitals in ukraine with the reason that ukrainian militants were basing inside of them; everyone got mad at them for that. Then when Isreal bombs palestinian hospitals and says hamas militants were basing in them; liberals and conservatives bust a nut, because god forbid they have any empathay to anyone who isn't white.

"man, every trans woman i meet has a shitty bed and small apartment and no money let's make fun of them for that, let's get self congratulatory assfaces in the reblogs saying they'll buy her a blanket, let's all point and laugh at the poor girl who is systemically discriminated against and therefore more likely to end up poor, unemployed, and homeless, isn't that so funny?????"
you guys talk about our poverty the way conservatives talk about iq

Part of the reason that Republicans are so desperately acting like they will never lose again is because they are deeply terrified that this is their last real chance to win. The big orange dipshit came in and gutted the party of everyone who wasn't a loyalist, which left it full of nasty little gremlins who have gaping voids where charisma and human decency is supposed to go.
They still hold a lot of power, but if we stop them this year the next presidential election may not be the Most Important One Of Your Life™, that's not a guarantee or anything, but if they don't win here and now their future looks grim, this dipshit is the only guy they have left and he's extremely diminished and has his brains leaking out of his ears at this point. We can beat him into the ground.
So that's what we're gonna fucking do. We're gonna break these fucking fash. They will crash upon us and we're gonna break their fucking necks. When they come for us they will lose because they're fucking losers and we have each other's backs which is something they fundamentally are incapable of comprehending.

I know these times are hard for everyone, so if you're depressed don't forget to pay for insurance on top of everything else to maybe be able to afford medication that nums you enough where you can go to your 3 jobs to be able to maybe afford rent this month, huh oh your car breaks down? Lose all revenue for 2 weeks while you get in more debt to be able to fix your car to go back to work where you'll have to take even more shift to make up for it all
But for sure, CEO raises while the minimum wage stays the same, lobbying against unions, charging 800$+ for life saving drugs, it's all part of the natural life God chose for us, clearly

ultimately what "the left" in the imperial core actually needs to accept is that there is nothing inherently wrong with feeling discomfort when recognizing any form of privilege you may have and no one should have to water down their arguments to nothing for the sole purpose of not hurting feelings. the right never made you feel "welcomed", right wingers cannibalize each other constantly, they don't even want to fucking date each other because they're that miserable in conservative circles, what happened is you saw benefit in reactionary ideals that managed to outweigh the downsides. this doesn't mean you can't grow and change as a person but it does mean exercising cognitive empathy where you never did before!

If your instinct right now is to disappear, wait a day. Feel your grief, anger, sadness and despair. Then, choose to stay.
Transform your misery into protective anger, and get ready to mobilize going forward. Envision who it is that is your chosen family, your community which you want to protect, and get activated.
Those communities cannot afford to lose you, don't ask them to get through this on their own.

Context: Israel “allowed” aid in the forms of flour bags to be airdropped into Gaza, waited for hundreds to congregate, and then opened fire into the crowd of desperate, starving Palestinians. 150 Palestinians were killed. Hundreds more wounded. This is being called “The Flourbag Massacre”.

Apologies, I’m justifiably livid and will be for… who knows how long.
Before I can find a way to put that to good use, here’s an equally angry sketch.
Rage against the dying of the light.

The Glorious Revolution stuff is so irritating honestly. Like yes Revolutions can be justified in some cases, however they are a weapon of Last Resort.
Revolution is what you turn to when it's the worst case scenario and nothing else is working. Why? Because they cause a heck of a lot of collateral damage, primarily impacting vulnerable communities that need actual help, and it's always preferable to pick the option that causes the least amount of damage.
We aren't there yet, and you shouldn't want to be there. Calling for a Revolution now is so incredibly dangerous because we can still do so much to enact meaningful change without causing massive amounts of collateral damage, and we should do those things instead.
And if you think it would be somehow better if we were in such a bad situation that a revolution would be necessary, I honestly don't think you are being serious. We shouldn't want things to get worse just so we have the excuse to pull out an incredibly destructive tool in order to fix the mess. That's not a reasonable proposal in the slightest.
^^^^
I think it's because it's easier to reject the entire system and roleplay revolutionaries than it is to decide what is and isn't there to keep in deeply corrupt democracies
thank you for your essay azeriaisis
